There is so much to say about the "wild hill" of "Holledau", as it is known locally: from hop growing, local traditions and, of course, the beer. The scenery is like a picture postcard. Especially in summer when the eye wanders over the expanse of hop fields, punctuated with yellow fields of rape.

    Oktoberfest beer and new wine, duck shooting and the hop harvest.

    Classic dishes of goose, duck and game are in trend this month.

    Advent means chestnuts and hot gluhwein, traditional roasts, gourmet dinners and celebrations.
